The organisers of Team GB are an experienced team of event professionals, junior coaches, bench staff, project managers, fundraisers and parents led by Phil Rutter (Barney Trubble) who is the JRDA (Junior Roller Derby Association) European Regional Coordinator. Phil has brought together this team of trusted volunteers based on a dream to take, for the first time ever, a junior Team GB to the JRDA world cup in Philadelphia. This event will take place on the 22nd July 2018.

Our Team GB boys and girls are bursting with so much pride about representing their country and with your help, they will get there!! Every sportsman or woman, at some time in their life, dreams about representing their country, experiencing the passion and sheer excitement of drama and competition at the highest level. Think of that feeling as a junior GB team member.

We will be taking 20 junior roller derby players aged from 8 to 18 from all over Great Britain. Over the last 12 months they have competed in history-making games all over the UK; the first ever England Juniors expo game at MRDA champs (the first outside of the USA); the expo game at the Women’s Roller Derby World Cup; and also the first ever European Junior Roller Derby Tournament held in Copenhagen. These Juniors have worked really hard this year to get their names out there and showcase Junior Roller Derby, travelling countless miles for games. Most have also had extra training with England Men’s Roller Derby this year.

Team GB Junior Roller derby are dreaming big and need your help. We are looking to raise £20,000.00 for our Junior team to get to the USA in July – a huge task! We have already started the ball rolling with various fundraising ideas, but we are looking for potential sponsors to help us.

Corporate sponsors

In return for your sponsorship we would offer the following:

  1. Donation of £100– your organisation’s name included on the sponsors page of our website.
  2. Donation over £500– Your organisation’s logo featured on a banner on every page of our website, included in all promotional material and press releases and on team shirts. Your organisation will be invited to team events.
  3. Donation over £1000– your organisation’s details will be featured above other sponsors on a banner on every page of our website, included in all promotional material and press releases and above all other logos on team shirts. Your organisation will be invited to team event and will be promoted via our various channels.

As a sponsor you would also receive an invite to join us at team GB training sessions and any social events.
